Cookies

Your internet browser has the in-built facility for storing small files, known as “cookies”. Cookies hold information which allows a website to recognise your account.  As with any website, our website takes advantage of this facility to enhance the customer experience of using the website.  You have the ability to prevent your computer from accepting cookies by adjusting settings on your computer/your internet browser, but, if you do, certain functionality on our website may be impaired.

Data Collected and Purpose

The main purpose of collecting personal data from you is to allow us to:

  • identify our customers to enable us to deliver to you the goods or services that you buy from us,
  • allow us to provide you with any follow-up that is required as part of providing excellent customer care;
  • retain records of all our transactions for tax, accounting and contractual reasons and obligations
  • for our community events/training, to ensure participants have a safe and enjoyable experience

In addition, only with your explicit consent, we may infrequently send you newsletters and information concerning our products and activities including special offers and details of new products by post/email/text.

We only collect the minimum personal information required to provide you a safe and satisfactory service, which depending on the type of transaction you enter into via the website, may include your name, address, telephone number, and email address, together with data about your use of the website. This will be retained and used (processed) only for the purposes referred to above.

We need to keep customer details for at least 6 full tax years under UK tax and contract laws.  After that, unless and until you ask us in writing to delete your personal data, we will keep it to enable us to contact you as mentioned earlier in this notice so we can provide a safe and satisfactory service to you.

Only the Data Controller has access to the personal information referred to above.

You have the right to:

  • ask us in writing for details of the personal data that we hold on you
  • require us to rectify any errors
  • have your personal data deleted by us if there is no reason for its continued storage and processing
